Meeting a guy i met online! HELP!?

This guy and i have been talking now for 2 months and we video chat a couple times a week. He seems like a genuine funny and cute guy! We text all day and i've gotta honest here, we flirt a LOT. Anyway, he lives 45 minutes away and he's been wanting to meet me for quite a long time now but i always put it off. The thing is, he wants to come over to my place and i'd love that, however i'm just a little scared that he might not be who he says he is (idk lol what if he happens to be a murderer! there are a lot of weirdo's out there!) I dont know, i just have some doubts but i'm dying to see him cause i like him a lot. He REALLY wants to meet at my place but i feel like i'd rather meet him somewhere public first... what should i do???? and where do you think i should meet him?
