Can I get decent at guitar in a short time if i practice a lot?

Guitar is not a toy. You have to have your heart and soul into it and you have to love it. You have to love your guitar like it is your child. Also, your guitar probably sounds shitty because you don't know how to play it. You need to spend some time learning how to play before it is going to sound any decent. Guitar lessons also could be useful. I have been taking lessons for almost 4 years now and there is still much i could improve on. Also. listen to some radiohead or jimi hendrix or some kind of real music. You just cant be a guitarist and listen to taylor swift. I'm sorry im an asshole.
